Sony will launch the Playstation Mobile October 3rd

According to Pocket Gamer, Sony will be launching their highly anticipated PlayStation Mobile service. 30 Games will be available at launch from various studios. Of course this will be only available to PlayStation Certified devices like the Xperia Ion and HTC One X but this is still fantastic news for game development on Android. Luckly, according to the report Canada will be one of the launch countries so October 3rd Canadians will get to see what Sony's PlayStation Mobile SDK brings to developers.

Sony Xperia Arc and Arc S now getting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

While the Rogers OS Upgrade list stated that the Xperia Arc and Arc S was going to get Ice Cream Sandwich in September, it looks like Sony has put a wrench in that plan but in a good way. They've announced via their Official Canadian Facebook page the the ICS rollout to the Xperia Are and Arc S has started. Unfortunately, this isn't an OTA upgrade so you will need to update via Sony's PC COmpanion software.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc Review

It was just around two years ago that Sony Ericsson had the tech world at the edge of its seat when word of their first foray into the world of Android started trickling out. With every new leak we got glimpses of the handset that we know today as the Xperia X10. Touting a 1GHz Snapdragon Processor and 4 inch capacitive touchscreen these specs had every tech geek drooling and wondering when they could get one. Sadly though after a number of delays the X10 was eclipsed, spec wise, by other Android phones and most notably by the Nexus One which beat the X10 to the punch being the first 1GHz phone to be put out to market. Sony Ericsson did not let that deter them and in 2011 at CES announced the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc the follow up to the X10. In this review we will see if the Arc improves on the X10.
