LG Optimus 4X HD hitting WIND and Videotron this October

While this isn't the much hyped Optimus G, the Tegra 3 powered Optimus 4X will be hitting WIND and Videotron in October according to Mobilesyrup Tipsters. Nothing to be scoffed at the Optimus 4X will run a 1.5GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, 4.7-inch 720p Display, NFC, 8MP /w 1080p video capabilities, Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This will certainly be an interesting offering for the two AWS carriers.

HTC One X+ headed to Bell instead of AWS carriers?

The much rumored HTC One X+, sporting a Tegra 3+ and LTE, has hit the FCC for certification. According to the documents, this HTC One X+ doesn't have the 3G bands for AWS carriers (WIND, Mobilicity, Videotron) but rather has the capabilities for LTE over the AWS (1700MHz) which is the bands that AT&T, Rogers, Bell and TELUS operate their LTE bands on. Now since the AT&T, Rogers and TELUS already carry the HTC One X which leaves Bell as the odd one out. It could be very possible that Bell had been biding their time for a Quad-Core LTE capable One X and this just fits the bill.

Well now that the S4 Version is launched in Canada and AT&T is getting their's soon we are starting to see head to head comparisons pop up. One such comparison is a video on YouTube showing the performance of the two version. Check out the video after the break.

HTC One X in Canada has a Dual-Core rather than Quad Core, but does it really matter?

With the announcement of the HTC One X, there has been a great deal of confusion about which CPU will power HTC's latest flagship phone. There are basically two versions of the HTC One X. One for worldwide markets which is powered by the Quad Core Nvidia Tegra 3 Processor and one for LTE capable markets, like Canada, which is powered by the Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

ASUS and NVIDIA unveil an ultra affordable Tegra 3 Powered 7-Inch Tablet

As usual around this time of year, there was a torrent of news coming out of CES in Las Vegas. One of the more surprising and low key revelation was a 7-inch Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 powered Tablet by ASUS equipped with a Quad Core Tegra 3 SoC. Now of course this isn't the real headline as these are similar spec to the currently hard to find Transformer Prime. What really catches the attention is the fact that ASUS plans to sell this tablet for a MIND BLOWING $250! Easily outclassing other tablets in the same price range (Blackberry PlayBook, Kindle Fire and Nook Color 2)
