Sony Xperia ZL from Bell getting update to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean [Update:] Rogers update in the works

If you recall a couple of weeks ago, we got word that the Sony Xperia ZL was getting an update to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on international devices. Now it seems like the update is reaching the Bell version. According to MobileSyrup, the update is an Over the Air update that can be accessed by the settings menu. Improvements include:

• Android 4.2.2 OS update
• New lock screen features and lock screen widget panes
• Interactive notification panel
• Proactively addresses instances where third party VoIP apps could interfere when dialing E911

If you've got the Sony Xperia ZL from Bell get your update today! Hopefully this will hit Rogers versions in the near future.

[Update:] We've just got word from our contacts from Sony that the Rogers version is being worked on right now by Sony. We can't imagine the wait to be too long.
