HTC officially announces the HTC One, UPDATE: Headed to Rogers, Bell and TELUS

HTC has taken the veil off the HTC One. Featured in numerous leaks that look like they were spot on, the One is powered by Android 4.2, a 1080p 4.7" Super LCD 3 display, 2300 mAh battery, 1.7GHz next generation Quad-Core Snapdragon 600 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 32/64GB of internal storage, NFC, LTE 4G and 4 "Ultra pixel" rear camera.

We will provide more information as the story develops...

[Update:] Looks like we have a clearer picture of where the HTC One will be headed. According to the official HTC press release the One will be headed to Rogers, Bell, TELUS and Virgin. Given that the One will also be headed to T-Mobile in the US, we wouldn't be surprised to see the One launch on WIND, Mobilicity and Videotron as well.

As far as other specs are concerned, One sports a unibody aluminium construction, dual front facing stereo speakers, noise canceling dual mic and IR blaster for universal remote capabilities.
