Nexus 5 goes through the FCC

Last year the Nexus 4 never got a proper unveiling due to Hurricane Sandy. As we fast approach the one year anniversary of the official yet subdued announcement of the Nexus 4, it's only natural to expect its successor to be revealed.

According to FCC documents detailing an unknown LG device model D820, the phone is packing LTE (with compatibility for Canadian LTE bands), a Snapdragon 800 Processor, NFC and Qi charging capabilities. Also included in the filings is references to Key Lime Pie, the code name used internally till KitKat was chosen as the name for Android 4.4.

The name of the next nexus is expected to be Nexus 5 as from info pointed out by Brian Klug of AnandTech, the unknown LG device is sporting a 4.96 inch display. The battery is reportedly rated at 2300mAh which is quite low compared to today's standards and considering the Snapdragon 800 CPU.

Only a few weeks more till we see the next Nexus.
